3 years ago a friend said something that changed my life!

He said "ServiceNow team is looking for new people so maybe you should check".

I was surprised!

But "I didn't know much about ServiceNow" I said.

He smiled and said " Don't worry. They know you don't know yet but they also know you'll learn fast."

That one statement gave me confidence

Some people think ServiceNow is a tool, some says it's an application but I will say ServiceNow is a platform- Do you know what's the difference of a tool, application or platform ?

Anyway ServiceNow is a platform with few capabilities companies can use to solve specific problems, one of the problem is explained below.

Have you ever sent a support email?

You send an mail saying there is a problem... but most of the companies ignore such emails.

Company CEO's know this is a big problem because when a customer email is ignored, that customer become unhappy and unhappy customers don't stay.

Companies know better user experience means happy customers

Happy customers = more revenue

More revenue = less chance of going out of business. It's that simple because if there is no customers, there's no company.

ServiceNow certified administrator...

ServiceNow administrator is responsible for:

• Configuring & customizing the platform based on companies need

• Managing users, roles, and access

• Configuring forms, fields, and tables

• Building workflows and automations

• Setting up SLAs, notifications, and approvals

• Creating reports and dashboards

• Supporting upgrades and continuous improvements

They work closely with business team to make sure ServiceNow solve real world problems. Without ServiceNow:

1. Tickets get misrouted

2. Work is delayed

3. Automation fails

4. Users lost trust in the system

Why that meant so much to me...

It made me realize something important because some teams don't just look for people who already know everything, they look for people who are willing to learn.

Anyway I decided to look into ServiceNow and that's how I started but if you ask me if ServiceNow a good career?

In the example above, you saw a support email is being sent and within few minutes, a reply came automatically.

This is one of the capability of ServiceNow platform, it can automate work!

But it doesn't automate work automatically, you need an experienced ServiceNow System administrator to configure such automations that's why ServiceNow career is high in demand and companies are paying more than $100,000 for ServiceNow administrators.

The Role of a ServiceNow administrator

They make sure:

• Emails don't get ignored

• Customers get quick response

• Business keep their customers happy

ServiceNow platform have the capability of using the latest AI technology as well so if you ask me if ServiceNow is a good career my answer will be Yes because AI is going to disrupt the industries in many ways but if you adopt you won't die.

I am 100% sure, AI is going to throw some of the jobs in trash but if you're platform have the capability of using AI and if you know how to use that AI- you have absolutely no reason to worry- at least for now! So are you prepared to adopt ?
